ASSIGNMENT: Uptown was hired by Cedar Falls Utilities (CFU) in July 2009 to complete their smart grid investment grant (SGIG) application. This assignment included the development and execution of a smart grid RFP, the completion of the 40 page SGIG project plan narrative, compilation of all required budgeting information, coordination of all required attachments and the timely filing of the actual application with the DOE. The CFU SGIG application was focused on the advanced metering infrastructure topic area of the SGIG. Uptown received the notice to proceed on July 1st and were able to successfully file the CFU application on August 6th.

OUTCOME: Awaiting funding determination by Department of Energy officials.
