INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE

Neil started his career as a network planner with U S WEST in 1987 and held several engineering, operations, product development, strategy development and sales positions over his seven year span with the large regional Bell operating company. Neil then moved on to Jones International, Ltd, where he was the director of business development for Jones Lightwave, Ltd. Lightwave was a small competitive access provider with systems in Florida, Georgia and Colorado. Neil also served as the general manager for the Tampa and Atlanta systems. Neil then moved on to TCI Internet Services where he was employee #4 on the team charged with bringing @Home Network to market. @Home was once the largest high speed Internet provider in the United States and was owned by several large cable MSOs including TCI. Neil served as the Senior Director of Marketing for TCI @Home and went on to become the vice president of commercial Internet services before leaving TCI to form Uptown Services in late 1996.

Neil has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University and an MBA from the University of Colorado.
